Oven-roasted chicken: an easy and delicious recipe

📝 Ingredients:

1 whole chicken (approximately 1.5 kg)

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, crushed

Juice of 1 lemon

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon ginger

1/2 teaspoon turmeric

1 teaspoon thyme or rosemary

Potatoes (optional), diced

Clean the chicken: Wash the chicken thoroughly and pat dry.

Prepare the marinade: Mix the olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and all the spices.

Marinate the chicken: Rub the marinade all over the chicken, inside and out.

Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (ideally 2 hours).

Oven: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Cook: Place the chicken in a baking dish, add the potatoes if desired, and cover with aluminum foil. Browning: Cook for 1 hour, then remove the foil and let it brown for 20–30 minutes until golden.

🔥 Tips for a successful recipe: Sprinkle a little water or broth in the pan to prevent the chicken from drying out.

Bathing the chicken occasionally with its own juices gives it a beautiful color.

You can add other vegetables such as carrots or onions.
