Nevertheless, nothing could stop Edward from raising Lisa with love and giving her the best life had to offer. A respected journalist, he began working remotely after his injury to support them.

However, most of Lisa’s friends were unaware that she had a father until one day he surprised her by visiting her at school.

Lisa had always told her friends that her father was too busy to spend time with her, which explained why he never attended school events or parent-teacher meetings. But in reality, Edward never received invitations because Lisa was embarrassed by his presence and didn’t want her friends to see him.

As a child, she adored her father, but as she grew up, knowing he was in a wheelchair made her gloomy, which broke their relationship.

Confused, she was watching television when she noticed that her father was sitting next to the presenter.

Edward never shirked his duties. He was always there for his daughter and saved enough money to send her to a prestigious university.

On the other hand, Lisa didn’t want him by her side. In fact, when she met Harrison, her boyfriend, at university, and they decided to get married after graduation, she simply didn’t want Edward present at the wedding.

She had panicked when Harrison asked her to invite Edward to dinner at his parents’ house. The young man’s parents were wealthy and part of high society. What would they think if they saw an elderly man in a wheelchair in their home? Lisa was ashamed at the very thought.

However, since Harrison had enthusiastically invited Edward to dinner, Lisa realized she had no way out. She had to feign a smile, and while doing so, she told him she would ask Edward if he was free.

Upon learning of Lisa’s dinner invitation, Edward replied that he was more than free. He was delighted to know that Lisa had found someone who adored her. That evening, he wore a handsome suit, and Harrison’s family gave him a warm welcome. The young man’s parents were impressed that Edward had raised a daughter on his own.

Moreover, Edward had a wonderful sense of humor, and everyone had a great time at dinner. Everyone except Lisa, whose cheeks were constantly flushed with embarrassment, ever since the man in the wheelchair was revealed to be her father…
