This is an 8-minute short film. It was created by the director to pitch his vision for *Mortal Kombat* to Warner Bros. The director’s vision for this short film was to portray the characters and events of *Mortal Kombat* in a realistic world, without supernatural elements or other realms. Director Kevin Tancharoen also stated that if he were to create a full-length feature film adaptation, he wouldn’t completely eliminate the supernatural elements. However, he believed they should be presented in a way that was “very interesting and appropriate.” Eventually, his vision impressed Warner Bros. and the creators of the game franchise, leading to the release of the web series *Mortal Kombat: Legacy*. So, if you’re planning to watch *Mortal Kombat: Legacy*, you should definitely check out this short film first!
