To be honest, when I see this kind of dancing and these types of dancers in foreign movies and series, it seems normal to me; I don't pay much attention to it. But in this movie, I was glued to the screen, amazed. I even wondered if it was a joke at first. However, I composed myself and opened my mind, because this reality exists in almost every country in the world. It involves a very small minority, but this kind of lifestyle exists in our country too. Honestly, I enjoy watching and learning about different ways of life. I simply think Tuba Büyüküstün inhabited the role beautifully. We last saw her as Dr. Ada in "Another Self," and at first, I didn't think she fit the role of an exotic dancer, but I was amazed by her ability to play such different characters. Tuba is spectacular. If they had cast a different actress in the lead role, we wouldn't have seen or learned about these lives, environments, and so on. I’m sure there are many people who won't want to know, see, or learn anything about this; they’ll tear it apart—intellectuals will criticize it from a cinematic perspective, and conservatives will condemn it for its content. But people really need to watch it; they need to take off their blinders and open their minds. And then there’s the music, the songs, the lyrics... I genuinely enjoyed watching it; it’s a great way to unwind, while also conveying messages that can be applied to situations men and women face today.
