When they finally manage to get her absent-minded dad off to work in the morning, "Sophie" and her mum plan to go for a walk - but it's raining. Healthy solution? Let's make cakes instead and have an afternoon tea. With the weather still terrible outside, there is a knock on the door and it turns out to be a rather bedraggled tiger who is a bit peckish. He doesn't want to eat the people, no, but he's very partial to some biscuits, cakes - indeed just about anything... Right from the outset this tugged at my nostalgia for "Mister Benn". Simple animations with a gentle moral - in this case about being not being rude and/or gullible, that celebrate the joys of childhood and family without complicating anything. There's nothing much to critique here, it does pretty much what it says on the tin and is an amiable enough, if a little forgettable, half an hour to watch.
