Khang Lu

Khang (Khangaluwu) is a director, writer, cinematographer, and photographer from Minnesota. After founding Studio Penrose, he directed Emergence (2023), which won “Best Short Film of VR” at Raindance Immersive 2023, & Our Precious Autumn (2025). Khang is also known for VR short films including The Penrose Protocol (2023) and In a Perfect World (2022). Khang is also a transit and rail engineer and enjoys taking photos and videos of trains in his free time. He often features locomotives in his films.
