🧾 Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter (softened) or oil
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
1–1½ cups mixed dried fruits (tutti frutti, raisins, candied fruit)
Pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions

Preheat oven
Set oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a loaf pan.
Cream mixture
Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs & flavor
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
Stir in vanilla extract.
Mix dry ingredients
In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Combine
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
Pour in milk and mix into a smooth batter.
Add fruits
Toss dried fruits in a little flour (prevents sinking).
Fold them gently into the batter.
Bake
Pour batter into the pan.
Bake for 40–50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool & serve
Let it cool before slicing.
💡 Tips
You can replace butter with oil for a softer texture.
Add a bit of orange zest for extra flavor 🍊
Don’t overmix after adding flour—keeps the cake soft.
