Alone in the Wild - Series 1

It’s time for the ultimate team player to go it alone as England Cricket hero, Freddie Flintoff, is dropped in Botswana’s Okavango Delta to survive for seven nights, with just a handheld video camera for company. Freddie will be surrounded by dangerous wild animals, and out here, he is on the menu.

Dropped by boat on a desert island off the coast of Belize in Central America, the first thing confronting Jason Gardiner is his shelter for six nights: a dirty, ramshackle fisherman’s hut. His first task is to make this habitable before searching for water and food.

He was crowned ‘King of the Jungle’, but how will Joe Pasquale cope with five nights in a real jungle: Guyana’s vast rainforest, during the wet season?

Winter Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams and World Champion freediver Tanya Streeter must draw on their fighting spirit if they are to fend for themselves for seven nights in a remote corner of Botswana’s Okavango Delta.

What SAS legend Chris Ryan and undercover reporter Donal MacIntyre take on in the dense rainforest of Guyana is rain; torrential, seemingly unending rain and in such conditions everything is difficult.

In 2003 he survived 127 hours trapped in a canyon with just a litre of water. Now Aron Ralston must survive another 127 hours and this time, on a desert island off the coast of Belize in Central America.
