Aisling and Danielle struggle to cope with the normality that has come from them being apart. Aisling is stuck in small-town Mallow, where her mother is constantly leaving her holding the baby, while Danielle is settling into the Vancouver arts community with varying degrees of success and avoiding contact from Aisling at all costs. Aisling bonds with her new housemate Joe, who takes her under his wing to help her get act together, while Danielle is starting to struggle in Vancouver.

Aisling lands a new job which comes with a new love interest and manages to re-connect with Danielle who is struggling with life in Vancouver.

Aisling tries to figure out what Ryan's feelings are for her when he asks her to accompany him on a business trip, while Danielle throws a party and a drunken tantrum in Vancouver.
