Community reviews for Inventing Anna, shown here with its season details.
I think I was more impressed with Anna after I read the original article *New York* magazine vs. after this series; here, they paint her as simply someone looking for fame. Telling the story from the angle of the reporter held promise but ultimately was not interesting enough for me to continue watching.
Episode 1
Reporter Vivian Kent defies her editor to pursue the story of Anna Delvey, an alleged German heiress indicted for grand larceny and jailed without bail.
Episode 2
From a yacht off Ibiza to a suite at Paris Fashion Week, Anna's glamorous lifestyle comes into focus as her former friends dish out details to Vivian.
Episode 3
With Anna giving her the cold shoulder, Vivian hunts down sources who can fill in the blanks: Anna's ex-boyfriend Chase and wealthy entrepreneur Nora.
Episode 4
Vivian investigates how Anna persuaded powerful Manhattan lawyer Alan Reed to help her secure millions in funding for her ambitious business venture.
Episode 5
A past blunder throws Vivian off balance while delving into Anna's stay at a swanky hotel, where she befriended — and lavishly tipped — concierge Neff.
Episode 6
Vivian obtains footage of Anna's ill-fated trip to Morocco, an extravagant retreat with Rachel, Kacy and a videographer that quickly spirals into chaos.
Episode 7
Under pressure to finish the Anna article and with her baby's due date imminent, Vivian tries to contact Rachel to hear her side of the Marrakech fiasco.
Episode 8
Vivian digs into lingering questions after her article's publication, including Anna's formative years in Germany and her stay at L.A.'s Chateau Marmont.
Episode 9
Anna obsesses over her trial style as Vivian covers the proceedings, Rachel takes the stand and defense lawyer Todd implores his client to cooperate.
