Jesus: Refugee, Renegade, Redeemer with Bear Grylls - Season 1

Bear Grylls dives skydives into the Holy Land and follows the path of the Nativity story, landing in Jesus’ most unlikely birthplace — a stable.

From the baptism in the Jordan River to the temptations in the desert, Bear Grylls treks through riverbanks, wilderness, and even the Dead Sea, as he puts his survival skills to the test and explores the formative years of Jesus’ life.

Bear Grylls speeds across the Sea of Galilee and visits with local experts to understand what everyday life was like for Jesus and his rugged band of disciples.

Over the course of three years, Jesus went from being a little-known carpenter to a renegade rabbi, attracting followers from virtually every walk of life. In this episode, Bear visits mountaintops, archaeological sites, and more to unpack the unconventional mission and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth.
