This Version of One Piece, which is recutted by fans, fixes a lot of problems I have with the pacing of the original. Espacially in the later arcs.

Luffy launches a daring rescue mission to break his big brother Ace from the government prison, Impel Down. It's a race to the prison's lowest levels — a literal journey through hell itself.

This Version of One Piece, which is recutted by fans, fixes a lot of problems I have with the pacing of the original. Espacially in the later arcs.
*One Pace* was created in response to the infamously poor pacing of the original (1997) anime adaptation of *One Piece*. This is primarily related to the filler in nearly every episode, in which the first four-to-five minutes of every episode is the opening + flashbacks to the several previous episodes... not to mention countless flashbacks in the middle of many episodes. Some specific arcs *cough* Fishman Island *cough* are even more poorly paced to the point there was an official remake (2024) of one. And there is even going to be an official remake (2027) of the series with the goal of better pacing. Well, before all that came this project (2013). I only discovered this recently, and I appreciate the work of this team. They use the manga as a blueprint to edit the original anime into a more concise and watchable experience, and they do it quite well. For English-speaking viewers, the edited episodes are packaged into dub, sub, or all-in-one formats. 15 other languages are at least a work-in-progress. Kudos to this team.
Episode 1
To rescue his brother Ace, Luffy must infiltrate the well-guarded prison Impel Down. He eludes the watchful eyes of security for a time, and then, for better or worse, a certain red-nosed criminal appears.
Episode 2
After forming an unlikely alliance, Luffy rushes through Impel Down aided by Buggy's powers. Meanwhile, Ace finds himself with an unlikely companion as well when he exchanges words with a powerful pirate prisoner.
Episode 3
Luffy and his dubious companions face off against the mythical beasts of Level 2. Impel Down is put on lockdown, its only exit sealed, but Luffy, unaware and unafraid, continues to Ace's floor, only to have another unexpected reunion.
Episode 4
Luffy and his deranged team pummel everything from Level 3 to Level 4 that dares to stand in their path. However, the powerful guard Minotaurus is ready to do some pummeling of his own while a boiling bath of blood awaits below.
Episode 5
With nowhere to run, Luffy's desperation to save Ace forces him to make a very grim sacrifice against his venomous adversary. Down in the frozen depths of Level 5, Bon Kurei rushes to his friend's aid, betting on a distant hope.
Episode 6
Bon Kurei wanders through Level 5 in search of a mysterious missing prisoner. However, the fearsome wolves and bitter cold eventually take their toll, and he collapses in the Freezing Hell all while Luffy's life continues to dwindle away.
Episode 7
Luffy is back in action, and he prepares to set off, now with even more powerful allies who have ties to his old man. When they reach the lowest level of Impel Down, the legendary Level 6, they are in for a few new surprises.
Episode 8
A veritable all-star team on his side, Luffy and co. battle their way back up to Level 4. On Level 2, a massive riot erupts, plunging the prison into chaos. To further complicate matters, another infamous pirate breaks into Impel Down.
Episode 9
It is utter chaos in Impel Down, and between the sudden appearance of Blackbeard, the vice warden’s interference, and Magellan’s dogged attempts to restore order, the escape team just might see daylight yet!
Episode 10
Thanks to Jinbe’s quick thinking, Luffy and co. narrowly escape Impel Down. However, the Gates of Justice remain closed, and a horde of Marine ships is gaining on them. Then, just when all hope seems lost, a dear friend makes an all-or-nothing gamble.
