Rozali's unexpected re-entry into Şakir Pasha's life and Şakir Pasha's secret daily visits to another house ignite feelings of jealousy and suspicion in Aniesi. As İsmet Hanım feels the approach of a disaster day by day, she struggles to keep the family together, while Cevat harshly confronts Hakkiye instead of mending his strained relationships with his mother and wife, bringing with it seeds of suspicion regarding Emin.
