Saluting Dad's Army - Season 1

Don't panic! Pointless host and Dad's Army superfan Alexander Armstrong celebrates the genius of the enduring comedy, a true British institution, as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Alexander Armstrong looks back at the heyday of the show and meets Dad's Army vicar Frank Williams, while the likes of Hugh Dennis and Jon Culshaw discuss what Dad's Army means to them.

Alexander Armstrong goes behind the scenes to discover just how Dad's Army was made and meets locals from the Norfolk town of Thetford, which stood in for Walmington-on-Sea.

In the final part of this 50th anniversary celebration, Alexander Armstrong looks at how the show transferred to the radio and stage before finally coming to an end on TV.
