About This Tool
This converter creates a single-image ICO file from a PNG. It is intended for favicons, desktop shortcuts, and small app icons where a square transparent PNG needs to be packaged as an icon file.
Size And Icon Behavior
- You can choose the output width and height, clamped to the ICO maximum of 256 pixels.
- The image is resized with transparent padding when needed, so non-square PNGs are not stretched.
- The generated ICO contains one 32-bit PNG image entry, not a full multi-size icon set.
- Very small icons may need manual artwork cleanup because fine details can blur after resizing.
Processing Notes
